Shipping Update

Except for a few backers whose credit cards failed to process, all physical orders will have shipped out tomorrow. Shipping times vary. Almost all of you should receive an email from BackerKit with tracking information.

For US backers, please wait one week before contacting me about a missing package. For international, make that two or three weeks.

If you received an email that says your payment method failed, please follow the instructions to fix it. I can't ship your rewards until that happens.

Digital Rewards

Digital rewards will be fulfilled very soon. No later than June 8. I apologize for the small delay on this. I lost some time due to sorting physical books and personal things getting in the way. But don't worry. It is soooo close to being ready!

One More Thing...The Errata

As embarrassing as it is, I must inform you that there are a few errors in the book. Many would say that this is to be expected. I've never heard of a book of this size not having any errors. But still, I strive for perfection in everything I do.

Regardless, we found these errors after the books went to print. I was especially embarrassed to discover that (due to a mistake in the way I exported the backerkit survey answers) I had mistakenly left my friends at maCnarB Gaming off of the Kickstarter credits page...sorry Greg!

These errors were easy enough to fix in the pdf version, but I also felt bad enough about it that I decided to (sort-of) fix it in the physical books as well.

So, behold...the Errata:

Every book will have this sticker inside the back cover. Was it cheap? Not really. Is it time consuming? Yes. But it was the best solution I could come up with on a short notice that I could live with.

If, for whatever reason, you would rather have your book remain un-stickered, send me a message by the 25th (Saturday) and I will keep the sticker separate. You could then apply it wherever you want. Except for specific backers choosing to opt out, every single book I ever sell will have this sticker in the back of the book.

Of course, it is likely that over time more errors will be discovered, and I will be embarrassed no matter how small they are. I will be maintaining an up-to-date errata on our website, along with an FAQ and rules clarifications as needed.

Books are in!

I will have the packages prepared over the next week, then ship them out by the end of the month!

I am very pleased with how these turned out! Quality paper and the artwork just pops!

I did find a binding defect in about 10% of the books (see below). These are being sorted out, and I'm working with the printer to resolve it one way or another. All books will be inspected before shipping, so you won't see any of these. If you do see something wrong, let me know right away so we can resolve it.

Charging Preorders and Locking Addresses

On Friday 5/24, I will charge all preorders and lock addresses. If you need to change your payment information or address, please do so before that date.

Production Update

Hope everyone is enjoying spring. May is my favorite month, and getting Pythos finished just makes it all the more enjoyable.

We're on the final stretch! Here are a few updates and important announcements...

Printing

The printer notified me of a week-long delay on getting the books printed. Still, I expect to have them in my hands with enough time to ship out all physical rewards by May 31. That means backers in the US could receive rewards as early as the first week in June. For international backers, I can't give any accurate estimates at this time.

Speaking of books, if you think you'll ever want an extra core book, now is the time to buy it. The preorder price remains at a crazy low price of $30. After release, the retail price will be $50 for this high quality hardcover.

Digital Rewards

The digital package is nearly complete. Just finishing up the Starstruck Mountain adventure module. The full core book PDF (bookmarked and hyperlinked), quick start rules PDF, character sheets, pre-gens, full size maps, and print-and-play action and maneuver cards are ready to go.

Updating Addresses

If you've moved in the last year and a half, now is the time to update your address on backerkit. 

If you need to review your shipping address, you can return to your  survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at  https://pythos-tabletop-rpg.backerkit.com

Charging Cards for Preorders

If you placed a preorder or added to your pledge after the Kickstarter closed, your credit card will be charged when physical rewards begin shipping or digital rewards are released (whichever comes first). If there is a problem charging your card, you will be notified with instructions on how to fix it.

Books

The printer estimates completion by the end of April. Because printing is in the US, it may be possible to receive the books and send out the rewards by the end of May. I'm shooting for a fulfillment deadline of May 31st.

Digital Files

The adventure module Starstruck Mountain is being tweaked and the layout is in process, but I expect to have the entire digital package ready for fulfillment by early May.

Action and Maneuver Cards

Printing is complete and the shipment is on its way to me. Here are a few pics of the samples...
